Signs and Symptoms
In the initial phase of Yellow Fever presenting in 3-6 days of being bitten, individuals may experience symptoms like fever, muscle pain, headache, chills, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. After three to four days, most patients show improvement, with symptoms resolving. Some patients may transition to a more severe stage of the illness, marked by jaundice, hemorrhagic fever, and kidney function decline. Unfortunately, some individuals die to this form of the disease within 7-10 days of symptom onset.
